Looking for a nutrient dense way to start your day that takes little effort to prep? These Power Oats are so delicious and easy to make ahead! We sometimes even make a few jars of the the dry ingredients at the beginning of the week for those busy weekday mornings.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup Trader Joe’s Rolled Oats (Gluten Free)
1-2 tbsp Trader Joe’s Flax Seed Meal
1 tbsp Kirkland Organic Peanut Butter
1 scoop Primal Kitchen Collagen Fuel (vanilla or chocolate, whichever floats your boat)
1 tsp Cacao Powder
Boiling Water
Extra Nourishment Tip:
This is the perfect opportunity to add in your liquid supplements, like vitamin D. As Dr. Lauren likes to remind everyone, vitamin D is best absorbed and used by the body when it is taken with at least 5g of fat, so add it to your Power Oats!
Optional ingredients:
Handful of cashews, almonds, mixed nuts
Dash of cinnamon
1/4 cup of fresh fruit on top
Directions:

Boil water

While water is boiling, mix all the dry ingredients into a bowl.

Once water comes to a boil, cautiously pour over the top of all the dry ingredients to completely cover them.

Stir well, add in your optional toppings and enjoy!
