Healing happens best when the nervous system can adapt to stress and communicate clearly with the rest of the body. When stress builds up and the nervous system becomes overwhelmed, that communication can start to break down. In kids, this often shows up as things like sleep struggles, constipation, frequent sickness, sensory sensitivities, or big emotions that feel hard to regulate. Regulated nervous systems help kids move through transitions more smoothly, recover faster from stress, sleep more consistently, and feel more at home in their bodies.

If you have ever felt a sudden, sharp, zinging pain through your pelvis during pregnancy, you are not imagining it. Lightening crotch is real, and the clinical term is pudendal nerve irritation.

It often shows up as quick jolts of pain in the pelvis, vagina, or groin, especially when walking, standing up, rolling in bed, or late in pregnancy.
